📣 Attention, parents with kiddos in sports!

We're considering adding Medical Plastic Sport Earrings to our selection for ear piercing patients. These lightweight, nickel-free earrings lie flat against the earlobe to help reduce snagging during sports and other activities.

👨‍⚕️ Meet Our Providers: Dr. Benjamin Hazen

Have you had a chance to see Dr. Hazen at your visits?

Originally from North Canton, Ohio, Dr. Hazen earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his pediatric residency training at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Hazen joined TAPAC in 2021 and enjoys caring for children of all ages, helping families navigate each stage of childhood from infancy through adolescence.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hazen enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, their two active young children, and two lovable kittens. He also enjoys gardening, biking, hiking, and cooking. 🚲🥾🌱🍳

Today is Eye Patch Day, and we’re joining The Eye on Grace Foundation and other organizations supporting the ocular melanoma community.

Ocular melanoma is a rare form of eye cancer that develops in the cells that give the eye its color. It often has no early symptoms, which is why regular dilated eye exams are so important for early detection.

This day is about raising awareness, encouraging eye exams, and showing support for those affected by ocular melanoma.

👩‍⚕️ Meet Our Providers: Dr. Megan Coggon

Have you had a chance to see Dr. Coggon at your visits?

Dr. Coggon is a Traverse City native who earned her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and completed her pediatric residency at Washington University’s Saint Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She returned to Northern Michigan in 2017 and spent several years in Charlevoix providing both outpatient pediatric care and inpatient hospital care. Dr. Coggon enjoys general pediatrics and caring for patients from newborns through young adulthood, supporting families through every stage of growth and development.

She and her husband were happy to move back to their hometown, where they are now raising their children and sharing the same Northern Michigan experiences they grew up with.

Outside of the office, Dr. Coggon enjoys reading, hiking, and exploring thrift and antique stores. 📚🥾✨

Have you had the chance to meet Dr.Jonna?

Dr. Jonna grew up in Northern Michigan and completed her medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

She brings extensive experience in pediatric care, having worked at Akron Children's Hospital and the Carle Foundation Hospital before joining the team at TAPAC in Traverse City. Dr. Jonna enjoys caring for children of all ages; from newborns through young adults and is dedicated to supporting families through every stage of growth and development.

Outside of the office, Dr. Jonna lives in Traverse City with her husband and three children. She enjoys reading, baking, running, and exploring Northern Michigan with her family. 📚🏃‍♀️
