Grand Traverse Allergy Welcome to Grand Traverse Allergy! Since 1992 GTA has provided relief for those who suffer from allergies, asthma, and those with immunodeficiancy and HAE.

At Grand Traverse Allergy our patients always come first. Our friendly fun staff are always here to answer any questions and provide help always. Do you have oral symptoms when eating some fruits and vegetables?

Oral allergy syndrome (OAS) happens when people with pollen allergies to trees, grasses or weeds develop mild allergy symptoms around the mouth after eating raw fruits or vegetables. Symptoms may get worse during pollen season. This happens because some fruits and vegetables are botanically related to what is pollinating.

This time of year, for example, birch trees will begin pollinating. If you have a birch tree allergy, you may get some oral symptoms to botanically foods like apples or celery.
