Last month our hearts were a little heavier as we had to say goodbye for now to two of our cherished residents. In assisted living, residents become so much more than the people we care for—they become our friends, our family, and a part of our everyday lives.

While we will deeply miss their smiles, stories, and presence, we find comfort in believing they are reunited with the loved ones they have missed for so long. Though their chairs may be empty, the memories they gave us will always have a place in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, DeeAnn and Sherman. You will always be a part of the Our House family. ❤️

Fun looks a little different for everyone. ❤️

For some of our residents, joy comes from helping make popcorn, folding laundry, setting the table, or lending a hand with everyday tasks. These simple moments provide purpose, encourage independence, and help them feel valued and included.
