You don’t have to be productive every minute. 💙

In honor of National Relaxation Day, PCIL’s Mental Health First Aid Trainers are sharing a simple reminder: rest is part of taking care of your mental health, too.

Rest doesn’t have to look a certain way. It might be taking a nap, sitting outside, listening to music, enjoying a favorite hobby, spending time with someone you love—or simply giving yourself permission to do nothing for a while.

Today, make a little room to slow down and recharge.

💬 What’s your favorite way to relax?

What can $30 actually do?

By itself, $30 may not pay for college tuition, an accessible vehicle or adaptive technology.

But 1,000 people giving $30 can create $30,000 worth of opportunities.

That's the idea behind PCIL's $30 for $30,000 Community Campaign to rebuild the Colleen L. Fraser Fund.

In the past, Fraser Fund grants have helped people with disabilities pursue college and educational opportunities, attend conferences to strengthen their advocacy and leadership skills, purchase adaptive technology, and even put funding toward an accessible van.

Now we want to make sure the Fund is there for the next person with an opportunity in front of them—and a financial barrier standing in the way.

We're looking for 1,000 people to help us get there.

💙 Will you be one of them?

Give $30—or whatever amount is meaningful to you—at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/dollar30-for-dollar30000

🚗 Ready to work toward your NJ driver’s permit? Let’s get you driving!

PCIL’s Drive-Ability program helps people with disabilities prepare for the NJ driver’s permit test in a supportive learning environment. Participants work through the driver manual, practice test questions, learn the rules of the road and build the knowledge and confidence they need to take the permit exam.

Even better, eligible participants can attend at no cost through NJ DVRS.

🍂 We’re recruiting now for our Fall Drive-Ability cohort!

If you or someone you know has a disability and could use extra support preparing for the permit test, now is a great time to get started.

📞 Contact PCIL to learn more and find out how to join the Fall cohort.
