This special project is being organized by Dr. Cary's daughter as part of her summer volunteer project, and we're so excited to help her! βœοΈπŸ““πŸŽ

Help us make a difference by supporting our School Supply Drive benefiting students through the Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Education Associations' school supply programs. ❀️

From backpacks and crayons to notebooks and pencils, every donation helps local students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

πŸ“ All ELP locations will be participating beginning this Monday 6/15/26! Please bring your donations to the front desk, where collection receptacles will be available for easy drop-off.

πŸ“š Donations Needed: School supplies of all kinds (see flyer for the full list!)
πŸ“… All supplies are due by July 30th

Thank you for supporting students in our local community. Together, we can make a big impactβ€”one backpack, notebook, and pencil at a time! 🫢🍎

If you became a pediatrician or APRN because you wanted to actually know your patients, this might be a conversation worth having!

East Lake Pediatrics is hiring board-certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners across our Trinity, Oldsmar, and Palm Harbor offices. Our patient panels are filling up, and we'd rather bring on more providers than start squeezing the time we spend with each kid.

A few things that are true about working here:

We don't chase RVUs. We chase getting it right.
Weekday office hours. Shared weekend call.
A team that backs each other up.
Parents and kids who know your name, and you know theirs.

The work is real. The connection to families is real. The hours respect the rest of your life. If you've been looking for a practice that still feels like why you got into this, let's talk.

Email KJ: [email protected] or call: 727-372-6760
Or stop by our Trinity office.

Know a pediatrician or APRN who'd fit here? Tag them below.

Attention ELP sports families!

If your child is playing a high school sport next year, there is a new Florida law you need to know about before the 2026-2027 season.

The Second Chance Act now requires a one-time heart screening (ECG) for all incoming 9th graders and any upperclassman playing a sport for the first time. Without a completed ECG on file, your child will not be allowed to try out, practice, or compete.

A few important things to know:

- The ECG is separate from the sports physical. We handle the sports physical at all three of our offices. The ECG is a separate requirement with its own form.

- If your child already had an ECG on or after July 1, 2024, it counts. No need to repeat it.

- Returning athletes who already competed in FHSAA sports do not need an ECG (but it is encouraged).

- Athletic clearance registration opened May 25, 2026.

The easiest option for most families is Who We Play For, a nonprofit that hosts $20 screening events across Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties. A cardiologist reads the ECG and provides the signed form the school needs. No insurance or referral required.

Dr. Mike put together a video walking you through everything. We will drop the link in the comments along with the registration page for screening events.

Please share this post with any sports parents who might need it. This is a brand new requirement and a lot of families do not know about it yet.
