❤️🤍💙 The 4th of July celebration continued with a delicious patriotic treat!

Our residents had a wonderful time creating their own Star Spangled Sugar Cookies, decorating them with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and a sweet fruit dip. 🍓🫐🍪

The festive treats were almost too pretty to eat… almost! It was another fun way to celebrate together while making sweet memories this Independence Day. 🇺🇸

🥪 There’s nothing better than a delicious meal shared together!

Our residents enjoyed a cheesesteak carry-in where everyone got to customize their sandwich just the way they liked it. Paired with homemade pasta salad, chips, and a cookie, it made for a meal everyone could enjoy.

There were plenty of smiles, great conversation, and full bellies all around! 💚

🇺🇸 We kicked off July with a bang by creating festive red, white, and blue Fourth of July “snow globes!” ❤️🤍💙

Our residents had a wonderful time getting creative and showing off their patriotic spirit. These fun crafts are the perfect way to celebrate the season, and we can’t wait for all the Independence Day festivities still to come! 🎆

🎉 Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone for our Administrator, Mark, as he reached 5 years with Vancrest-Upper Valley! 💚

Five years with the same administrator is something truly special in our industry, and we couldn't let the occasion pass without celebrating all he has meant to our residents, families, and staff.

To kick off the celebration, our team came dressed like Mark in polos, khakis, and custom name tags, making for plenty of laughs. We also enjoyed a carry in filled with many of his favorite foods.

We were happy to welcome several special guests, including our recruiter, Heidi, along with Mark's wife, Michelle, his daughter, Brooke, Brooke's sister-in-law, Jordan, his son, Easton, and his granddaughter, Teagan.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was presenting Mark with a collage filled with memories from his first five years at Vancrest-Upper Valley, along with a heartfelt letter from our team sharing just how much his leadership, kindness, and dedication mean to all of us.

To say he was surprised was an understatement.

Mark, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our residents, families, and staff. Your leadership has helped make Vancrest-Upper Valley the special place it is today, and we are grateful for everything you do. Congratulations on five incredible years. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with you! 💚

🦆 It was a great day for a duck hunt! 🎯

Our residents had a blast putting their aim to the test during a fun duck hunt challenge! With plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and a few impressive shots, everyone had a quacking good time.

Activities like these are a fun way to encourage movement, hand-eye coordination, and lots of smiles. We’d say the hunt was a success! 💚

🍦💜 We enjoyed a sweet treat for a great cause!

Residents, staff, and family members came together for a Soft Serve Ice Cream Fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. Everyone had the chance to build their perfect sundae with delicious soft serve and all their favorite toppings while supporting an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this fundraiser a success. Every scoop made a difference! 💜🍨

🧀 Taste Test Thursday was a delicious success!

Our residents put their taste buds to the test by sampling six different varieties of cheese to see which one would come out on top.

🏆 The winner? Colby Jack took home the crown! Close behind were Irish Cheddar and Cherry Goat Cheese, which were both crowd favorites.

It’s always fun trying new flavors, sharing opinions, and enjoying a little friendly competition!
