💚 Benefits for your mental wellness:

Reduces stress and anxiety

Wellness Wednesday 🌿

Your mental health deserves intentional care.

Today, ask yourself:
✨ Did I drink enough water?
✨ Did I take a break when I needed one?
✨ Did I speak kindly to myself?

Wellness doesn’t have to be complicated—it starts with small, consistent choices.

Here's a Tip for Tuesday on behalf of the professionals at Mind Over Matter Counseling🧠

Post:
Struggling to manage overwhelming thoughts?

Try the “Name it to Tame it” technique:
👉 Pause
👉 Identify what you're feeling
👉 Say it out loud or write it down

When you label your emotions, you reduce their intensity and gain more control.

Reminder: Feelings aren’t facts—but they are signals worth paying attention to.

Memorial Day | Mind Over Matter Counseling

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and connection.

At Mind Over Matter Counseling, we also recognize that this day can bring up a mix of emotions—pride, grief, loss, and remembrance. For many, it’s deeply personal.

💙 Take a moment today to:

Reflect on the lives and sacrifices of those who served
Reach out to someone who may be grieving
Give yourself space to feel whatever comes up

Honoring the past also means caring for ourselves and each other in the present.
If you're struggling, you don't have to do it alone. Call us today. (636) 528-1488.

🎒☀️ The Last Days of School Are Here ☀️🎒

As the school year comes to a close, many kids are feeling a mix of emotions—excitement, relief, anxiety, sadness, and everything in between. Transitions, even positive ones, can be overwhelming.

At Mind Over Matter Counseling, we want to remind families that this time of year is about more than grades and goodbyes—it’s about supporting our children’s mental and emotional well-being, too.

Here are a few gentle reminders:
✨ Big feelings are normal during transitions
✨ Changes in routine can impact mood and behavior
✨ Some kids may worry about what’s next (new school, new grade, less structure)
✨ Others may feel sad leaving teachers, friends, or familiar spaces

Ways to support your child:
💛 Keep open conversations—ask how they’re really feeling
💛 Maintain some structure as summer begins
💛 Celebrate their growth, not just achievements
💛 Watch for signs they may need extra support

Ending a school year is a big milestone—and with the right support, it can also be a meaningful opportunity for connection and growth.
