Daniel has been a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 10 Yrs. Daniel is a graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Mortuary Science Program. After the Collett Family purchased the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home in 2020, Daniel joined the firm full time in January of 2022. Dan offers families a knowledgeable one on one funeral planning experience and strives to personalize every arrangement. Daniel is the father of Freya (5) and Hannah (3) Collett whom he spend his off time with on adventures in nature and looking for cows along their car rides.
Something families may be surprised to learn about Dan is he holds an active commercial driver license, and was a truck driver for the FedEx Freight Corp. hauling double trailers prior to his full time career in funeral service.

Jeffery’s 30 yrs of funeral service offers a comforting, supportive and knowledgeable funeral director, helping grieving families through the difficult process of arranging a funeral.
Mary and Jeff have shared 40 yrs of marriage and have 3 children.
When not working, Jeff enjoys his time relaxing in his yard with his 4 dogs and is the best “Pop Pop” to his two granddaughters, tracking down the capital district’s best ice cream.
Jeffery is a graduate Hudson Valley Community College and Siena College.

Prior to November 1, 1990, the VA would furnish a grave marker for eligible veterans’ graves if they were not marked with a private marker. For deaths occurring on or after that date, the VA will furnish a grave marker for eligible veterans’ graves, even if they are marked with a private marker.
