95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

Our Night at the Haunted High Seas Halloween Trick-or-Treat Party was a real treasure! Our residents and families had a swashbuckling good time filled with spooky fun, sweet treats, and memories worth their weight in gold!

We’re also sending a hearty yo-ho-ho to Soda Mamas' and Gypsy Kitchen for serving up goodies and helping make our night one to remember!

It takes a whole crew to make the magic happen, and we’re so grateful for our amazing community members who helped make this event such a success!

Happy Boss’s Day to our Executive Director, Morgan!

Sometimes, someone comes along and you realize they were the missing piece all along, and that’s exactly what Morgan has been for our community!

Morgan’s laughter is infectious, and you can always find her by following the sound of it! 😂 But beyond the laughter and the smiles, she is the definition of a true leader. She’s the first to step up, lend a hand, support her team, and make sure no one feels like they have to do it alone.

In the short time Morgan has been with us, you can already feel the difference she has made. Her leadership, positivity, and genuine heart for our residents and team shine through in everything she does. She leads by example, inspires those around her, and reminds us what it means to be one team.

Morgan, we truly cannot thank you enough for the energy, heart, and passion you bring to our community every single day. You are an inspiration to us all, and we are beyond grateful to have you leading our team!

Happy Boss’s Day to someone who makes our community a better place simply by being in it! 🥰

LET THE BIG GAME HYPE BEGIN!

In the spirit of tomorrow’s big game, we invited Troy Christian Schools and Miami East Local Schools to StoryPoint Troy for a little friendly competition, school spirit, and LOTS of fun!

Our residents enjoyed pizza while spending time with the players, cheerleaders, and band members from both schools. We had cheers, chants, dances, and an incredible performance from Miami East’s band and both schools’ cheerleaders!

And of course, we couldn’t let all that excitement go to waste! We wrapped things up with a mini parade through the hallways so everyone could join in on the fun and experience all the school spirit!

The best part? Hearing our residents talk about how much fun they had! ❤️ Multiple residents shared that this was one of the most fun things we’ve ever done, and their excitement about having the kids here was absolutely contagious! From chatting with the players to laughing with the cheerleaders and enjoying the band, getting to interact with these incredible young people made the day extra special. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful moments come from simply bringing generations together!

A HUGE thank-you to both schools for spending time with our residents and filling our community with so much energy, laughter, and joy! These are the memories we’ll be talking about long after the final whistle!

Good luck to BOTH teams tomorrow! 🏈 We’ll be cheering you on and can’t wait to see you take the field! Who’s ready for game day?! 🎉

IT’S A NOODLE SHOWDOWN! 🍝

Celebrating National Noodle Day here in the neighborhoods with a little friendly competition! 👀 Our residents put their noodle-rolling skills to the test to see who could wind up all their “spaghetti” the fastest!

The laughs were endless, the competition was REAL, and we’re pretty sure we have a few future noodle champions on our hands!

Who knew National Noodle Day could get so competitive?!

Pumpkins patches, hayrides & sweet fall treats!

We had the BEST day at Fulton Farms enjoying all the things that make fall so special! Our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care friends all got to head out into the pumpkin patch to pick their very own pumpkins, enjoy a hayride, and indulge in some delicious seasonal treats!

The sunshine was perfect, the smiles were endless, and the memories made were even sweeter! There’s nothing better than getting out in the community, enjoying the beautiful fall weather, and making memories together.

A big thank you to Fulton Farms for helping us make it such a wonderful day! 🧡
