Effective immediately VRM is no longer able to take in donations of any kind from the community due to the space limitations currently we are facing due to the building project and renovations that are going on.

Once able to take in donations again and we have appropriate storage for donations another post will be put up on our social media platforms.

A special "Thank you!" and shoutout is in order for the students of LaSalle Institute of Troy. Starting in October 2025, middle school and high school students have come to VRM twice a week continuously to do a number of different activities with our residents. We look forward to this upcoming fall to resume the LaSalle Youth Group as the residents always enjoy the visits from LaSalle.

On May 20th and June 3rd we had two separate bus loads of residents attend the 10Am Tri-City ValleyCats morning baseball game. The residents had a great time and enjoyed a complimentary ballpark hotdog and both days were nice weather wise luckily! Always a fun time catching a game at the Joe ⚾️

Recently, a bus load of residents wanted to go to McDonald’s for breakfast, so the Activity Staff did just that and took some residents to McDonald’s. A great time was had by all and this type of trip is planned to be on the calendar more, as it has became a favorite of our residents here at VRM.

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, VRM held a memorial service in the Activity room to honor 38 Manor residents who passed away within the last few months. In collaboration with community hospice, the memorial service brought many familiar faces back together again here at VRM. It was another beautiful ceremony honoring VRM residents who have passed away.

A bus load of VRM Residents attended the annual North Greenbush Memorial Day Parade today. Residents wore red white and blue and enjoyed being in the parade. Some residents who were on the bus got to pass there childhood home or house they started a family in during the parade route today which made some of our residents smile.
Happy that the weather held off so the parade could happen.

GC's Adirondack Critters conducted a "Stuff a Teddy Bear" project at the Manor during Nursing Home Week.

The company came from South Glens Falls and spent the morning building stuffed animals with our residents and also planned BEAR BINGO with the residents.
