Mrs. Sarah Margaret Schnack of Troy passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her residence. She was 71. She was born August 27, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York. Skeen Funeral Home will be assisting with a simple cremation. Mrs. Sarah Schnack is survived by a son, T.J. Schnack (Jammie Golden); a daughter, Elizabeth Campanella (Steve); two grandsons, Dustin Golden and Ayedin Golden; two granddaughters, Briella Golden and Kayeanna Golden.

Douglas Shelton Wilkins of Troy passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was 51 years old. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Skeen Funeral Home. He was born July 12, 1974, in Troy, Alabama to the late Harold and Mary Jean (Davis) Wilkins. He is survived by his children, Adam Wilkins, Lindsay Wilkins, and Braxton Wilkins; one granddaughter, Ani Jane Wilkins (Adam); brothers David Wilkins (Sharon), Danny Wilkins (Kim), and Donald Wilkins (Sandra); and a host of nieces, nephews, one great-niece and one great nephew.

Mrs. Lois Langley of Banks, AL, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at her son’s residence. She was 88. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Skeen Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Rich officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Lois was a devout Christian, and she loved gardening. Mrs. Lois was born August 23, 1937, to the late Benjamin Franklin Ming and Mary Murdis Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Langley, daughter, Kathy Ann Juneau; sisters, Edna Mancil and Debbie Blankenship; brothers, Frank Ming, Joe Ming, Charlie Ming, and James Ming. She is survived by a son, Randy (Faye) Juneau of Troy; a daughter, Linda Love of Pineville, LA; two grandsons, Chris Juneau of Ozark and Sam Sheppard of Ft. Payne; a granddaughter, Jennifer Juneau Howard of Troy; great grandchildren, Savannah Buck, Weston Buck, Denver Buck, Caleb Love, and Charity Love; great-great grandchildren, Leighton Kae Juneau, Ivory Grace Worley, Jace Love, Daemon Love; three sisters, Hilda (Winfred) Sanders of Banks, Mary Ann Williams of Troy, and Ruth (Bennie) Cooper of Shreveport, LA; dear friend, Lauree Livingston. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Golson, who departed this life surrounded by the love of family and friends on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Skeen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

John was preceded in death by his father, L.A. Tillery; his mother, Lillie Jean Tillery; his paternal grandparents, Larkin and Iona Tillery; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Lillie Best; his oldest sister, Gail Gladney; and his next oldest sister, Dorothy Bunch.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Joyce Golson , Elba, AL; daughter, Penny Child (Mo), Elba, AL son, Timothy Blair (Jonathan) Savannah, GA, sisters, Karen Griffin (Stefan) Ozark, AL, Theresa Byrne (Dan) Hartford, AL, Phyllis Mini, France, and Elizabeth Dyess, Crystal Springs, MS; and his beloved grandson, Levi Childs of Elba, AL. John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

John’s life was a testament to the importance of family, love, and perseverance. He touched many lives through his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. John gave his life to the Lord and was an educated Christian.

We appreciate the compassionate, diligent nurses and staff at DaySpring Hospice for their commitment to John and his family.

Debra Faye Barber passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 12, 2026. She has now gone home to be reunited with her beloved parents, sister Betty, and her precious daughter, Amanda Mae Barber, whom she loved deeply and missed dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Skeen Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Debra was a truly remarkable woman whose love knew no bounds. When she loved, she loved with her whole heart. She will be remembered for her infectious sense of humor, her sass, her strength, and the kindness she showed to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a special gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and valued.

Throughout her life, Debra devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, treasured sister, loyal friend, and proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she spent her life creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Debra leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Raymond Barber; her son and daughter-in-love, Raymond and Nicki Barber; her beloved grandson, Ray Ray; her granddaughter, Jenna Sapp; and her great-grandson, Joshua Pence. She also leaves behind many cherished family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her love, wisdom, and unwavering support.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Debra is at peace and has been reunited with her daughter Amanda, along with the loved ones who went before her. Her legacy of love, strength, faith, and devotion will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
