I’m here— 37 weeks pregnant with my baby girl. My body is so expanded. I’m full. Sharing my body again has been rewarding and lovely.
People keep asking me how I’m feeling. Physically, I really do feel amazing. Yes, it’s harder to roll over in bed. Yes, sometimes I can’t get my breath… all the normal things of pregnancy are with me.
Inside of my heart, I’ve expanded.
I’m overwhelmed in the most beautiful way. I’m overjoyed. I still can’t believe I get to be here again, carrying life, feeling her move, preparing my home and family for her arrival. This is something I’ve dreamed about for so long. I wondered if it would ever happen for us again. There are so many lies around conceiving after vasectomy reversal and over the “old age” of 40.
And then there’s culture, screaming loudly—“Why start over?” “You were finally free” “Just travel and stop thinking outside the box” “the only people who have babies like this were not wanting and planning for it” “this is so hard” “just why?”
Inside my heart, I’ve expanded.
This is right for us.
This is our story.
God knew this for us from the very beginning.
I was made to care for others.
To serve.
To pour myself out in love.
To take responsibility.
To build, plant, and grow.
Whatever your path looks like, I hope you find grace, peace, and love along the way.
I hope your heart expands until it aches with the goodness of God working inside of you.
