Waiting until every wrinkle is deep can sometimes make the plan more complicated.

That doesn’t mean everyone needs to start treatment early, and it definitely doesn’t mean doing too much.

It means that small, thoughtful maintenance may be easier for some patients than trying to correct deeper changes later.

For one patient, that may mean Botox or Jeuveau to help soften movement-related lines. For another, it may mean Hydrafacial, PRP, Morpheus8, or skincare support to help maintain skin quality over time.

The right plan depends on your skin, your movement, your goals, and what you’re actually noticing.

The goal isn’t to look younger overnight.

It’s to age in a way that still feels like you but more youthful.

After weight loss, the neck doesn’t always tighten the way people expect.

The fullness may improve, but the skin can still look loose, crepey, or less supported — especially under the chin and along the jawline.

That’s why patients who have lost weight, including with medical weight loss, may need a different plan than someone who only has a small pocket of fat under the chin.

At that point, we’re not always talking about more weight loss or more fat reduction.

We may be talking about skin support, tightening, and definition.

For the right patient, treatments like Morpheus8 or Renuvion may become part of the conversation because they focus more on skin laxity and tissue support rather than simply reducing fullness.

The goal is not just a smaller-looking neck.

The goal is better definition and a plan that actually matches what the area needs.

Reacting to a video from Megan at Well Labs Charleston about “Baby Botox” and dosing.

This is an important conversation because “Baby Botox” isn’t a separate product. It usually refers to using a lower, more customized dose of Botox or another neuromodulator to soften movement while preserving more expression.

In general, dose can play a role in how long treatment lasts, so using fewer units may mean the effect wears off sooner. But it’s not as simple as saying more units always last longer.

Everyone’s anatomy, muscle strength, treatment areas, and metabolism are different. Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, and other neuromodulators can also have different dosing systems, so their units are not interchangeable.

The goal isn’t to use the highest or lowest dose possible.

The goal is to use the appropriate dose for your muscles, your anatomy, and the result you want.

Microneedling and Morpheus8 can both be part of an acne scar treatment plan, but they’re not the same treatment.

Traditional microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which can help stimulate collagen and improve the look of texture over time.

Morpheus8 also uses microneedling, but it adds radiofrequency energy. That allows the treatment to work deeper in the skin and support more advanced skin remodeling.

For some patients, microneedling is a good place to start.

For others, Morpheus8 may make more sense if the scars are deeper, the texture is more noticeable, or the skin also needs support with firmness or laxity.

The best choice isn’t about which treatment sounds stronger.

It’s about what your skin actually needs.

Reinvention looks good on her. ✨

After going through a divorce and stepping back into the dating scene, June decided it was time to invest in looking younger, refreshed, and confident as she entered a new chapter.

She chose Dr. Kerin and Kerin MedSpa & Laser Center for Pico facials and Botox, making consistent treatments an important part of her approach to maintaining her skin and addressing concerns such as sagging.

June’s journey is a reminder that rejuvenation is not about one appointment—it is about consistency, prevention, and choosing treatments that support your long-term goals.

Sometimes dark spots need more than a better skincare routine.

Skincare can help support the surface of the skin, but discoloration from years of sun exposure may need a more targeted approach.

PicoSure Skin Rejuvenation uses short pulses of laser energy to target unwanted pigment while also helping improve the look of tone, clarity, and overall skin quality.

That’s why the treatment plan should always depend on the type of discoloration, your skin type, your sensitivity, and what your skin can safely tolerate.

For the right patient, the skin can gradually appear clearer, brighter, and more even over time.

The right plan starts with understanding the pigment.

Keravive and PRP/PRF are both used in hair and scalp conversations, but they’re not doing the same job.

Keravive is more focused on scalp health. It helps cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and support the scalp environment — which can be important because healthier-looking hair starts with the condition of the scalp.

PRP and PRF are different. These treatments use your own platelets and growth factors to help support the follicles and may be part of a plan for patients noticing thinning or shedding.

For some patients, we may start by improving the scalp environment first. For others, PRP, PRF, or microneedling may make more sense earlier in the plan.

And in some cases, combining scalp health with follicle support may be the stronger approach.

The right plan depends on what’s causing the hair concern, what the scalp looks like, and what kind of support your follicles may need.

Botox doesn’t have to mean looking frozen—and there isn’t one “perfect” age to start.

Thoughtful dosing and placement can help soften movement lines while preserving natural expression. If you stop treatment, muscle movement gradually returns, and the effects wear off over time. Lines that are already visible at rest may still remain, which is why treatment recommendations should always be personalized.

The right approach depends on your facial movement, goals, and anatomy.

Schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Kerin to learn what may be appropriate for you.

There’s no universal age when everyone should start Botox.

In this reaction, Dr. Kerin responds to a post from Karina Stolz and adds his clinical perspective on movement lines, lines at rest, and when treatment may—or may not—make sense.

For some patients, treating movement lines earlier may help keep certain creases from becoming more pronounced. But Botox isn’t always required to age well, and age alone shouldn’t determine the decision.

The right time depends on your facial movement, skin quality, anatomy, personal goals, and whether the concern actually bothers you.

Reacting to a video from Dr. P***a about red light devices and why quality matters.

This is exactly why we don’t treat every red light device like it’s the same.

Red light therapy may help support skin quality, recovery, inflammation, and collagen support over time, but the device matters. Wavelength, strength, coverage, and consistency all play a role in whether you’re getting the kind of light exposure you’re looking for.

That’s one of the reasons we chose Sunlighten.

Sunlighten combines red light with near-, mid-, and far-infrared technology, allowing us to support both skin-focused and wellness-focused goals in one system.

Red light can help support the skin. Infrared can support relaxation, circulation, sweating, and recovery through radiant heat.

At Kerin MedSpa, we look at anti-aging as more than just injectables. Botox and filler can help with lines, movement, volume, and structure, but skin and wellness treatments can support the body in a different way.

That combination is where the approach becomes more complete.
