Happy Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Week!

The 2026 theme, Radiating Hope, captures what nuclear medicine professionals see every day: advances in our field translate into new possibilities for diagnosis, treatment, and hope for patients.

Since 1978, the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board has been proud to support the professionals behind that progress through rigorous certification and a commitment to continued competence.

Today, NMTCB offers six credentials representing the breadth and advancement of the profession: CNMT, NMTCB(CT), NMTCB(RS), NCT, PET, and NMAA.

This week, we celebrate the nuclear medicine technologists whose knowledge, skill, and commitment to patients continue to move our profession forward.

Here’s to another year of Radiating Hope.

☢️ Call for Directors! ☢️
The NMTCB is seeking applicants to serve on its Board of Directors. This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in one of the more challenging and important areas of your profession – establishing standards of professional competency.
Applications are available at:

Completed applications must be received by August 31, 2026. The Board will review and vote upon all applications received at its Fall Board meeting to be held this coming November. Elected Directors will be notified of their appointment after the meeting has concluded. Newly elected Directors will start their terms January 1, 2027.

The Board of Directors elects new board members from among those who qualify and formally apply for the position by August 15th. In addition to completing the application, technologist candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered.
