Mars moved into Pisces on March 2nd.
But it didnβt enter calm waters π
Mercury had already turned retrograde in Pisces on February 26, which means the planet of action stepped into a sign already dealing with reflection, reconsideration, and emotional processing.
For the first part of this cycle β roughly March 2 through March 20 β Mars has been moving through Pisces while Mercury retraces its steps through the same territory.
That combination can feel strange.
Mars normally pushes forward.
Mercury retrograde pulls attention backward.
So the result is a period where progress does not come from force, but from awareness.
Many people have likely noticed the signs of this already: plans shifting, conversations revisiting old ground, motivations that feel unclear, or situations that cannot be pushed forward through sheer willpower.
Pisces slows Mars down and asks a different question:
Where does your energy actually belong?
Around March 20, Mercury stations direct. That moment begins the second phase of the cycle. Information starts correcting itself. Conversations become clearer. Decisions that felt foggy begin to take shape.
The energy between March 20 and April 9 is not dramatic, but it is important. It is the period where instincts sharpen and quiet decisions form.
Then something interesting happens.
On April 9, two things occur on the same day:
β’ Mars leaves Pisces
β’ Mercury finishes its retrograde shadow
The review period closes.
What has been circulating internally since late February becomes ready to move forward again.
Mars in Pisces rarely acts with brute force.
Instead it teaches patience β listening to the current before choosing the direction to swim.
By the time this transit ends, many people will have a much clearer sense of where their effort truly belongs.
