Marty Jean Estabrook

June 9, 1953 – July 30, 2026

Marty Jean Estabrook passed away on July 30, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on June 9, 1953, in Torrance, California.

Marty was a fun, loving, and compassionate woman whose greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured the time she spent with those she loved. Marty was the proud mother of five children, one of whom preceded her in death. Her surviving children include Kenneth Michael, Michelle Lynn, Tiffany Rose, and Shawn Richards. She was also a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Marty had a wonderful love for the outdoors and animals and was happiest when she could enjoy the beauty of nature. She had a generous heart and genuinely loved helping others.

For many years, Marty dedicated herself to teaching high school students. She had a remarkable ability to connect with young people during some of the most challenging and formative years of their lives. Her patience, compassion, humor, and understanding made her an amazing teacher and allowed her to make a lasting difference in the lives of countless students.

Marty will be remembered for her loving spirit, her sense of fun, her devotion to family, and the kindness she so freely gave to others. Her life touched many, and the love and memories she leaves behind will continue through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and the...

GALLEGO, Eva Madrid, 92, long-time resident of Tucson, passed away August 5, 2026. She was born in Naco, Mexico, the daughter of Maximiano and Francisca Madrid. She had resided in Tucson for 74 years.

Eva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She was a woman of strength, compassion, and love. Her family will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Eva was the beloved wife of the late Jesus P. Gallego, Sr., with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons, Antonio (Anna), Daniel, and Jesus II (Doris), all of Tucson; and daughters, Elizabeth Vega (Tony) of Tucson, Esther Saenz (Luis) of Vail, and Elena Ferreira (Sam) of Kailua-Kona, HI. She was proud of her 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jesus P. Gallego, Sr., and two daughters, Leonor Gallego Quintana and Eva Gallego.

Eva’s family will forever cherish the memories of her love, strength, and devotion. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave to her family and the legacy she leaves behind will live on through the generations.
