Today, we explored the Ashanti folktale of Anansi the Spider and Nyame, the Sky God. We learned how Anansi completed difficult challenges involving a leopard, a python, hornets, and a fairy to earn the right to share stories with the world.
Residents enjoyed learning about a new culture, discussing the meaning behind the folktale, and creating drawings inspired by the story. We learned so much and had a wonderful time bringing this legendary tale to life through art!

A little razzle-dazzle, bling, and lots of fun! ✨🖊️

Today we created our very own custom pens, and everyone had a blast mixing and matching colorful beads and charms to make each one unique. It was the perfect combination of creativity, laughter, and a project that’s as useful as it is beautiful.

Safe to say this was a crowd favorite—we’ll definitely be doing this again soon! 💜

🇺🇸 What a spectacular celebration of America’s 250th Birthday! 🇺🇸

All of our hard work truly paid off! We celebrated with Western line dancing, storytelling, laughter, and an incredible community spirit.

A special thank you to our amazing residents, who poured their hearts into our attempt to bake the largest apple pie in assisted living history! Our record-attempt pie weighed an impressive 45 pounds, measured 19 inches wide, and stood 4 inches deep. What an unforgettable accomplishment!

To top it all off, we wrapped up the evening with a patriotic party rbus tour around town, enjoying the festive atmosphere and watching the fireworks light up the night sky. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day of celebration!

Thank you to everyone who supported, cheered us on, and helped make this celebration so special. Whether or not a record is officially set, we made memories that will last a lifetime.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸 There was no better way to celebrate this historic milestone than by making a little history of our own.
