Is hospice like a bird in a cage? đ¤
That was the question Bob received this weekâand his answer might change the way you think about hospice.
Hospice isnât about putting life on hold. Itâs about managing pain and symptoms, providing support, and helping patients remain as comfortable and independent as safely possible.
Sometimes that means spending more time with family. Sometimes itâs getting out of bed and enjoying a favorite meal. And sometimes, as Bob shares, itâs even getting back out on the golf course. âł
A six-month hospice prognosis doesnât mean someone only has six months to live, either. Patients are reevaluated and may continue receiving hospice care as long as they remain eligible.
Hospice isnât the cage. Sometimes, comfort is what helps open the door. đ¤
