Like it or not, our bodies - especially female ones - are cultural and political battlegrounds. That undoubtedly influences how we think about our bodies and what we plan for and what we think we’re capable of.

Guess what? That impacts our perspectives on pregnancy, birth, and early parenting too.

Taking time to think through the historical and societal and religious factors that are influencing our bodies helps us regain control and power in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.

Wanna know a secret? 🤫

The vendors are amazing and so incredibly kind and helpful, but some of my favorite parts of the Birth and Baby Fest are the interactive presentations and classes put on by local experts. They’re designed to help introduce you to ideas or services that will help make your life a little easier or more comfortable or help empower you through pregnancy and parenthood. There are activities for small kiddos throughout the day too, not just adults!

🌟 It’s all free to attend and everyone is welcome!

Q: Who is Tucson’s Birth and Baby Fest for?

A: This event is perfect for people who are expecting a baby, people who just had a baby, people hoping to have a baby soon (it’s never too early to get a plan in place!), and those who love and support them, including birth workers and allied professionals.

All are welcome at this sweet event and everything is family-friendly! 👶🏽♥️

These local businesses and nonprofits are just a few of the 50+ vendors who will be at this year’s event, excited to help provide some reassurance and relief while you’re pregnant or have a new little one in your life. Check past posts for even more featured vendors!

FAQ: What is there to do at the Birth and Baby Fest?

A: There’s a vendor fair with 50+ local businesses, nonprofits, and makers ready to connect and engage with you directly. But really, it’s so much more than just a market!

At its core, this event is designed to help empower Tucson families in learning, preparing, and finding support. To that end, there are also 11 different activities and mini classes throughout the day to help inspire and support you as you continue on your pregnancy or parenting journey. PLUS there are 3 different food trucks, lots of giveaways, and so much fun! 🎆

The best part? It’s all free to attend!
