What is the difference between low vision and blindness? Patients who have low vision still have some functional sight, but struggle with daily tasks. Legal blindness is defined as a visual acuity of 20/200 or less with correction, or a visual degree of 20 degrees or less. Total blindness is the complete inability to see light or form. Some underlying diseases and eye conditions that cause low vision can progress to cause legal or total blindness. It’s important to visit an ophthalmologist as soon as possible if you’re experiencing vision changes. Call us now to make an appointment.

Most people only need to visit an optometrist once per year for an eye exam. However, there are some warning signs that it’s time to update your glasses or contact lens prescription, even if a year hasn’t yet passed. Blurry vision, tension headaches, eye strain, squinting, changes in night vision, problems focusing or concentrating, and glasses or contact lens discomfort can all indicate it’s time to schedule an eye exam. Call us now to make an appointment. https://bit.ly/49EkQOn
