In September we celebrate National Recovery Month!

Recovery Month is organized by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Our faculty work on a range research and programs in Arizona that address the public health challenge of addiction and substance use.

Our college offers the Undergraduate Minor in Addiction and Substance Use to train students to support those struggling with addiction. Tomorrow, join us for the September CALM workshop - Healing Dance!

Creative Arts for Lowering Mental Stress (CALM) provides a series of in-person workshops that include healing dance, meditative drawing, Tai Chi, and singing bowl mediation. All are welcomed!

Dr. Carlos Gonzales, MD (Pascua Yaqui), is Senior Director of Indigenous Health, Native American Advancement and Tribal Engagement-NAATE at the U of A.

Congratulations Dr. Chengcheng Hu!

Dr. Hu, professor of biostatistics, is a co-principal investigator on a study funded by a new $30.6 million grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, or PCORI, a nonprofit organization, to study trauma response. Dr. Hu will lead efforts to analyze the data.
