"Through a paperwork glitch, no fault of anyone at Dr Monash’s office, I had to reschedule my appointment several times. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. After I finally got to see Dr Monash and his MA, my positive experience was reinforced. My concerns were heard and dealt with in a very professional manner. I definitely recommend this practice!" says Deb on Google

Summer is coming to Tucson, and with triple-digit temperatures around the corner, it’s important to remember that heat can make wound healing more difficult.

Dehydration, swelling, sweating, and increased time outdoors can all slow healing and raise the risk of infection, especially for patients with diabetes, circulation problems, or chronic wounds.

A few simple reminders this time of year:
• Stay hydrated
• Keep wounds clean and covered
• Avoid walking barefoot outdoors
• Watch for redness, drainage, or increased pain
• Don’t ignore a wound that “just won’t heal”

The sooner a wound is evaluated, the better the chance of avoiding complications and getting back to normal life.
