It's time we have a conversation around falls and dementia.
In our latest episode, we're sitting down with Ron Porter, occupational therapist, to talk about one of the most serious — and often overlooked — challenges in dementia care: fall risk.

Ron shares why people living with dementia are more vulnerable to falls, what families and caregivers can do to create safer environments, and how occupational therapy can be a game-changer in prevention.

Whether you're caring for a loved one, working in healthcare, or just want to learn more — this one's for you.

There's so much more to dementia than memory loss — and this episode of Dementia Untangled is going to change the way you see it.

We are sitting down with Dr. Anna Burke, Geriatric Psychiatrist and Director of the Alzheimer's and Memory Disorders Division at Barrow Neurological Institute, for a conversation that every caregiver, family member, and loved one needs to hear.

Most of us associate dementia with forgetting. But dementia affects so much more than memory — and understanding exactly what's happening in your loved one's mind can completely transform the way you care for them, communicate with them, and connect with them.

A recent article in Medical Daily focusing on Alzheimer’s treatment entering a new era – largely due to advancements in research – highlighted the encouraging words of Dr. Parichita Choudhury, cognitive neurologist and associate director of the memory clinic at Banner Sun Health Research Institute.

"The current Alzheimer's disease treatment landscape is the most exciting in the field's history," said Dr. Choudhury, speaking at the 2026 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting.

The article examined the first FDA-approved disease modifying drugs, along with new clinical trials that show hope.

Leqembi and Kisunla are slowing Alzheimer's decline by 27-35% in early-stage patients. The 2026 drug pipeline has 158 candidates in 192 trials. Prevention trials are beginning. Here's the full update.
