The Academy Village is a vibrant and friendly retirement community ideal for active, independent adults who have no intention of retiring from life. It is located in the foothills of the beautiful Rincon Mountains, just east of Tucson Arizona and next door to one of the nation’s great national parks. s with limitless possibilities for personal growth, well-being, and creativity. The village is uniquely designed to facilitate pursuing the next stages of life after 50 among friends in a physically and intellectually stimulating environment. Residents are typically engineers, physicians, nurses, teachers, attorneys, homemakers, business owners, professors, retired government including military, psychologists, astronomers, writers and more. The Village contains only about 230 homes and a small, exceptionally "user-friendly" assisted living complex, making it easy for residents from 45 to 90+ to quickly become and remain a part of the community. At the heart of our Village is The Arizona Senior Academy, a non-profit corporation devoted to life-long learning, thinking, and doing in the context of local community outreach. Life in Academy Village keeps residents engaged whether they plan to continue working, volunteer in community efforts, participate in educational or leisure activities, or discover an entirely new passion.
