KM Neurosurgery Clinic has office locations in Tulsa, Sallisaw and Miami, Oklahoma. Mangels, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon. Dr. Mangels provides advanced diagnostics and treatment options for conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nerves. Dr. Mangels completed his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with special distinction at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a medical student, Dr. Mangels received a number of awards for his academic and clinical research, including the Florence C. Kelly Prize in Microbiology and the Children’s Medical Research Scholarship. He was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After medical school, Dr. Mangels completed both his surgical internship and neurosurgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He has experience treating a wide range of conditions, with a special interest in brain tumors, lumbar and cervical surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, cervical artificial disc replacement, SI joint fusion, carpal tunnel surgery, shunts, transsphenoidal surgery, CyberKnife® radiosurgery, and kyphoplasty. As a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Mangels continues to pursue the latest advances in neurosurgery. He is also a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
