People assume the calendar empties out as you get older. It does not have to.

The seniors we serve still have standing lunches, church on Sunday, the grandkids' games, the friend who calls every Tuesday. What crowds all of that out is usually not age. It is the everyday upkeep. Our caregivers take on the meals, the bathing, the medication reminders and the errands, and the week has room in it again.
