📚🌷 Our First Iris Memory Book Club Was a HUGE Success! 💚
Every resident enjoyed this special experience, no matter what stage of their memory journey they are in! This week, we focused on our garden, where a few residents joined Cheyenne in reading and reminiscing about planting, gardening, and picking their own homegrown fruits and vegetables. 🥰
We even took the fun outdoors and got hands-on cleaning up the flowerbeds we planted together on Mother’s Day! 🌼
It was a beautiful reminder that stories can spark memories, encourage connection, and bring joy to everyone. We can’t wait for our next chapter! 💚

Mental health matters at every age, and at every stage of the caregiving journey. 🧠💜
On World Mental Health Day, we want to hold space for the thousands of family members caring for a loved one with memory loss. Caregiving is an act of deep love, but it can also bring silent exhaustion, grief and burnout.

Taking care of your mental health isn't selfish; it’s essential for staying whole. To every caregiver silently giving their all: we see you, we honor you and we are here to walk beside you. 🌿✨

We had the sweetest opportunity to capture this beautiful couple sharing a moment together during karaoke with SYNERGY HomeCare. ❤️ Watching them enjoy the music, share smiles, and connect through a song was such a beautiful reminder that love and the passion for music can last through generations. 🎤💕
Even as the years pass, music has a way of bringing us back to the moments, people, and feelings that mean the most to us. There is something so special about witnessing a love that continues to shine through every season of life. 🥰

🎃🍪 A little Halloween fun at Iris Memory Care! 👻🧡
A HUGE thank you to Good Shepherd Hospice for coming out and spending time with our residents decorating Halloween cookies! 🧡 We had so much fun getting creative, adding spooky sprinkles, and making some sweet treats together! 🎃🍬
We are so grateful for our hospice partners who take the time to bring smiles, laughter, and special moments to our residents. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference! 🥰

🎤🎶 KARAOKE FUN WITH SYNERGY HOME CARE🎶🎤
What an AMAZING time we had singing our hearts out with synergyhomecare! ❤️ From Elvis and classic hymns to country favorites and rock 'n' roll, our residents were ready to grab the mic and sing along! 🎸🎵
A HUGE thank-you to Jason for coming out and making this such a memorable event! The fun was so good that our residents were STILL requesting songs all the way until dinner! Now THAT'S how you know we had a great time! 🥰🎶
We even crowned our favorite during Karaoke 👑🏆
🌟 Resident Winner: Pat! 🌟
Pat was singing along to every song, smiling, cheering everyone on, and even showing off a few dance moves! Her joy was contagious, and she was the perfect example of what makes these moments so special! ❤️💃
🎤 Staff Winner: Our Activities Assistant, Brittney! 🎤
Brittney kicked off the entire event with “Jolene” and went on to sing three more songs throughout the afternoon! She brought AMAZING energy, dancing, cheering on our residents, and making sure everyone felt included in the fun! Way to go, Brittney! 🙌❤️

💪🩵 Pool Noodle Exercise Fun! 🩵💪
Who knew pool noodles could make exercise this much fun?! Our residents had a blast getting active today with some creative pool noodle exercises! 🎉
We rode a horse 🐴, paddled in a canoe 🛶, and spun the rope 🪢—all while getting our bodies moving and sharing plenty of laughs!
Activities like these are a great way to encourage movement, coordination, balance, and confidence while keeping exercise fun and engaging. Most importantly, our residents had a GREAT time! 🥰

🍂🎃 Fall Craft Fun! 🎃🍂
Today we got a little crafty and added some adorable fall decor to our community! Our residents made the cutest little scarecrows and pumpkin raccoons. 🦝🎃🍁
But the best part wasn’t just seeing the finished creations—it was taking the time to sit together, offer a helping hand when needed, and encourage each resident along the way. Watching their confidence grow as they created something they could be proud of was truly so special. 🤎
A little creativity, a little encouragement, and a whole lot of fun made for such a wonderful afternoon! We love adding pieces made with love by our residents to our fall decor. 🍂✨

Team members from several of our Iris communities took part in a Teepa Snow Care Conference recently in Tulsa, OK. What a wonderful opportunity to learn!!

We are grateful for Teepa and her whole organization for what they do to share genuinely helpful information about caring for individuals with dementia. We were proud to have a booth at this conference and take our team members to learn!

We recently had the opportunity to be covered by KWTV - NEWS 9 about our work as senior living providers. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase what we do and what we value at Iris Memory Care! We believe in providing our residents Compassion, Dignity, and Comfort, and we try to get creative in how we make that happen. Hope you enjoy seeing us in action!

At Iris, we are blessed with some pretty INCREDIBLE nurses. We are in the middle of National Nurses Week, and we wanted to take a minute to say thank you! Nursing is a profession that is a calling in any area, but memory care takes a really special soul. How lucky are we to have nurses so passionate about providing quality memory care!!
