I find it both interesting and disturbing as I see people, friends and family members, walk away from the faith they were raised in without making a serious investigation of the facts, or at least reading people who have. I've recommended two books for decades and one more for about a year. Here they are:
Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis.
The Case for Christ, by Lee Strobel
Person of Interest, by J. Warner Wallace

Each of these was written by an atheist who did their homework and came to faith. Most people seem too busy or are already sure the books do not tell the truth. May I encourage you to carve out the time to find out about Jesus Christ and His message to our world? Dane Tyner

On the day of Pentecost, Peter boldly preached to the amazed and confused crowd to explain what God was up to on that very day. He was fulfilling an old prophecy of Joel. From there he preached the Gospel with absolute clarity.

After telling the crowd that they had put Jesus to death (with the help of wicked men) by nailing Him to the cross, he made one of the Scripture's great "but God" declarations. Listen: "But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him" (Acts 2:24).

Don't miss this: death HAD hold on Him, but it couldn't KEEP its hold on Him! It was impossible! We should also realize that death would have kept its hold on Him IF IT COULD have. This is what His followers celebrate today! The Author of Life conquered death! (See Acts 3:25) Dane T

Every honest person living in this broken world will be angry at times, sometimes very angry. Many men who have "anger control" issues have opened up with me over the years. I typically see them when their uncontrolled anger is damaging, and in some cases has destroyed, relationships that are important to them. I have a friend who is now incarcerated after having gone to a place on the Internet he should never have gone. He viewed one illicit piece of p**n which the feds were monitoring. Those very few minutes have already cost him many hours and dollars, not to mention the humiliation. And the extent of these costs has not yet been realized.

Scripture warns us to "guard our hearts" adding this important qualifier: "above all else" (Proverbs 4:23). You have an enemy. Be prepared. He doesn't play fair. He specializes in "low blows."
