In recognition of V-J Day on September 2, residents learned about the historic day in 1945 when Japan formally surrendered, marking the end of World War II.

We honored the occasion with patriotic music, meaningful conversation, and a Mind Works crossword for a little extra brain power. ❤️🤍💙

Stop by one of our education tables to pick up a Wellness Works handout, draw a fun activity from the “Challenge Yourself” basket, and discover simple ways to keep learning, growing, and aging successfully.

🌞 Beating the Heat with a Car Wash! 🌞

Lori from Refuge Care brought the fun with a "car wash" complete with snow cones! Our residents enjoyed cooling off while getting their chairs washed and having a little old-school summer fun! 🍦 Thank you, Lori, for a fun afternoon full of laughter!

We're collecting school supplies to support students at our neighborhood elementary school, and we'd love your help!

Donations can be dropped off at our facility, or if it's easier, you can have supplies shipped directly to us through your favorite online retailer.

This Month, our Travel Club is exploring the vibrant culture of India! ✨

Residents got creative by making candle holders while learning about India's rich traditions, colorful art, and culture. It was a wonderful art works afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and a little virtual travel!

🌞🍓Be Summer Safe! 👒🧴

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating summer while learning how to stay safe in the sunshine! We got creative by decorating summer hats, made delicious fruit pizzas, and talked about ways to stay healthy during the hot weather - like staying hydrated, wearing sunscreen, and staying safe outdoors.

Learning is always more fun with friends, good food, and a little creativity! Here's to a safe, happy, and healthy summer for everyone!
