We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Eviction Lab at Princeton University to bring Oklahoma County eviction data to their national Eviction Tracking System.

Through this collaboration, data collected by Mental Health Association Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University and Meinders School of Business Ronnie K. Irani Center for Data Analytics is now available alongside eviction data from communities across the country. The platform provides monthly updates on eviction filings, top-evicting properties, and other key housing trends.

Reliable, accessible data helps us better understand the causes and consequences of eviction and advocate for solutions that keep Oklahomans stably housed.

Stable wages are foundational to stable housing.

Communities with the highest eviction rates are often the same communities experiencing the highest levels of poverty. This trend will only continue if Oklahoma's minimum wage remains the same.

When wages fail to keep pace with the cost of living, families face impossible choices between rent, food, healthcare, transportation, and other basic necessities. This too often leads to housing instability, eviction, and homelessness.

Mental Health Association Oklahoma believes that housing stability begins with economic stability. That's why we support State Question 832 and encourage Oklahomans to vote "yes" on Tuesday, June 16th.

A birth certificate or photo ID may seem small, but for someone experiencing homelessness, these vital documents can be the key to housing, employment, healthcare, and stability.

In 2025, Mental Health Association Oklahoma helped 253 individuals in Tulsa and Oklahoma City move from homelessness into stable housing—and 90% needed help obtaining vital documents before they could even begin the housing process.

On June 16th, Oklahomans will have the opportunity to vote on State Question 832, a proposal to gradually increase the state minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 per hour.

At Mental Health Association Oklahoma, we see every day how low wages contribute to housing instability, financial stress, and barriers to accessing physical and mental healthcare. Stable wages are foundational to stable housing, and increasing the minimum wage is one step toward preventing homelessness and strengthening communities across our state.

That is why Mental Health Association Oklahoma endorses SQ 832 and encourages Oklahomans to vote YES on June 16th.

Regardless of the election outcome, Mental Health Association Oklahoma remains committed to supporting our workforce and will increase its minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2027.

Learn more about SQ 832, make a plan to vote, and have your voice heard on June 16th.

2025 was a year of growth, transition, and impact for Mental Health Association Oklahoma. From expanding A Better Way in Norman and adding Shelterwell’s eviction prevention programs to investing millions into rebabilitating housing properties in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, our team continued working to ensure more Oklahomans had access to stable housing, mental health support, and recovery services.

Our 2025 Impact Report reflects the resilience of our clients, the dedication of our staff, and the progress made by individuals overcoming homelessness, addiction, untreated mental illness, and housing instability.

For the first time in five years, Tulsa’s Point-in-Time Count shows that homelessness did not increase.

This progress reflects years of collaboration, investment, and community effort — and reinforces the importance of continuing this work together.

Behind the data are our neighbors, our community, and a shared responsibility to ensure every Tulsan has a safe place to call home.
