Thanks for visiting my page at the start of 2021.
If you're reading this, we both made it through 2020. I am very grateful, and I give God thanks for taking me through.

2020, a year of unbridled anxiety, fear, hardship, unfulfilled dreams, death, and a myriad of lies and misinformation. But there were also some very good things; bravery, compassion, sacrifice, resilience, humility, and new friendships.

For 2021 let's move forward to new heights with the good of 2020 and with great expectations for the year ahead. Our dreams are not lost they're just delayed. Let's leave the horrible behind.

In moving forward through the New Year join me in taking the advice of the apostle Paul, "Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent (Phil. 4:8).

Also in 2021 let's be intentional about being a true friend. Let's defeat hate and division. Reach out to someone with love and compassion and help build a better world.
Happy New Year!

September is su***de prevention month, and World Su***de Prevention Day is September 10th. The World Health Organization (WHO) says every 40 seconds someone in the world, dies from su***de. They give into thoughts that dictate that su***de is the only solution to their problem. In the United States su***de is the 10th leading cause of death. For individuals ages 10 -34 years su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death, while for ages 35-54 it is the 4th leading cause of death.
In the era of Covid-19, people are finding it hard to cope with life as it is. This can create extreme emotional and psychological pain, which for some, lead to thoughts that could trigger suicidal ideation or behaviors. So, let’s take the time to be mindful of each other. Show kindness, offer words of caring, and hope to those around us, and even to the stranger when possible. Reach out to someone. It might just be the gesture that could help someone embrace life again, instead of ending it.

Progress in su***de prevention activities in some countries, but much more is neededThe number of countries with national su***de prevention strategies has increased in the five years since the publication of WHO’s first global report on su***de, said the World Health Organization in the lead-up t...
