🍎✏️ Blessing Our Teachers! ✏️🍎

Today, we had the privilege of loving on the amazing teachers at Jenks Southeast as they prepare for another school year! ❤️

Our culinary team prepared sack lunches, and we were able to bless the teachers with supplies for their classrooms. But the sweetest part was seeing so many of our residents brave the summer heat to hold signs, share smiles, offer hugs, and give words of encouragement to the teachers as they came through. 🥰

Giving back to our community always brings us so much joy. There is something incredibly special about watching generations come together to encourage and support one another.

We are so grateful for our teachers and all they do to educate, inspire, and love the children in our community. Here's to a wonderful school year! 📚🍎✏️

🚦❤️💛💚 Happy National Traffic Light Day! 💚💛❤️🚦

Last week, we celebrated National Traffic Light Day by putting our own Beehive spin on the classic game of Red Light, Green Light!

When “GREEN LIGHT!” was called, residents had to stack their cups as quickly as they could—but the second they heard “RED LIGHT!” they had to freeze! ✋ If we caught them moving, it was back to the beginning! 😂

It was a great way to exercise our minds, practice listening and reaction skills, and, of course, share LOTS of laughs! Some of us decided we could definitely still pass our driving tests…while a few others might need a little more practice! 😉🚗😂

We also reminisced about playing Red Light, Green Light as a schoolyard game throughout the years. It’s amazing how a simple childhood game can bring back so many fun memories! ❤️

🚦 FUN FACT: Did you know red light has the longest wavelength of the visible colors? That helps make red easier to see from farther away, which is one reason it became the universal color for STOP!

Thursday evening we hosted a gala and all proceeds will be donated to our local chapter of Alzheimer’s to support families and advance research for the disease. Every guest enjoyed a wonderful dinner, beautiful music by Trio Ponticello, silent auction and shared stories of being a caregiver for someone with ALZ or having received the diagnosis for yourself.

Beehive would like to thank every guest, and sponsor that said yes to the invitation of being involved to raise awareness and money for our local chapter!

This past week, we celebrated Day of the Cowboy in style! 🤠

We started the day by taking our horses to the races, then enjoyed a chuckwagon-style lunch served right from the pie pan! That afternoon, we gathered for a good old-fashioned shindig complete with haystack cookies, Cowboy Kool-Aid, and plenty of smiles.

To top it all off, we were treated to an unforgettable Western show by Tim Swanson, who had everyone singing along, tapping their toes, and reminiscing about the good old days.

It was a rootin' tootin' day full of laughter, music, delicious food, and wonderful memories. We sure love to celebrate at the Hive! 🐴🌵❤️

Another beautiful spread of flowers was lovingly donated by the family of a resident we were honored to care for.

Yesterday, our residents spent time creating beautiful floral arrangements while sharing memories of the sweet lady who brought so much joy and sunshine to our Beehive family. Now, that same joy is blooming throughout our home for the days to come.

Sometimes it's about more than arranging flowers. It's about carefully placing precious memories, honoring a beautiful life, and finding comfort in the love that continues to grow.

This past week, we had the opportunity to welcome Eight Acres Summer Camp for a heartwarming performance that shared the love of God with our residents. There is something truly special about watching children and seniors connect across generations. Their laughter, smiles, and genuine joy remind us that some of life's most meaningful moments are also the simplest. We are so thankful for Eight Acres Summer Camp for spending part of their week with us and filling our home with faith, music, and love. ❤️
