Tuesday’s Back to School Week theme was Detention Day! The residents were all handed their very official detention slips and had a chance to redeem themselves by sharing a time when they got in trouble at school and faced a little corrective action.

We heard some pretty entertaining stories! One resident got detention for passing a note about the teacher, another got in trouble for sticking up for a fellow student, and several admitted to getting detention for—you guessed it—talking in class! 😂

We definitely didn’t think any of our residents would be able to relate to detention, but we quickly learned otherwise! It turns out they were quite the characters back in their school days. ❤️📚

Monday, we kicked off our Back to School Week with a fun game of Guess the Resident & Guess the Staff! It has been so much fun hearing everyone’s guesses and the stories that come along with them. We’ve loved reminiscing about everyone’s younger years, school days, and the memories that made those times so special. There have been plenty of laughs, surprises, and wonderful stories shared along the way!

What a fantastic afternoon! 🎶🎸

We had the pleasure of welcoming Fools on Stools, who treated us to a wonderful performance filled with classic favorites, incredible harmonica solos, and plenty of laughter! They had our toes tapping, our hands clapping, and smiles all around.

Our new Door Decor Club is officially underway! 🌻🐝

We kicked off our very first session by creating bright sunflower and bumble bee wreaths to welcome a little sunshine into our home. Each wreath turned out beautifully, and we had just as much fun laughing, being a little silly, and enjoying each other’s company while we crafted.

This month, we’ve been exploring the beautiful culture of India! 🇮🇳✨ Our Art Club had so much fun creating colorful Indian-inspired candle holders, each with its own unique personality and flair. We love seeing our residents’ creativity shine!

🪔 Fun Fact: Decorative candle holders, called diyas, have been used in India for thousands of years. They symbolize light, hope, and the triumph of good over darkness.

One of our amazing residents has been spreading smiles by creating beautifully customized hats for fellow residents, and they’ve quickly become a favorite around our community. ☀️💛
