Michael Oran Hoover, born September 25, 1965, passed away on May 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love for all who knew him.

Michael was a carpenter, tree worker, and true handyman who could fix just about anything. He was hardworking and dependable, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Whether he was building, repairing, or working outdoors, Michael took pride in his work and the life he built for his family.

Outside of work, Michael loved fishing, spending time with family and friends, and simply enjoying life. Known by many as "the cool guy," he loved sitting around visiting, laughing, and making memories with the people he cared about most. He carried deep pride in his Choctaw heritage and held those traditions and family ties close to his heart.

More than anything, Michael loved being a Papa. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and every new grandbaby was something he celebrated loudly and proudly, always "shouting it from the rooftops" whenever another was born. He treasured every moment spent with them and leaves behind memories they will carry forever.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William Hoover and Patricia Hoover, and his brother, Robert Hoover.

He is survived by his loving partner, Terri Strickland; his sons, Michael Snyder, Dylan Locke, David Locke, Michael Strickland, and Matthew Strickland; his daughters, Stephanie Branch and Candice Lewis; his siblings, Christopher Hoover, Kimberly Hoover, Kristin Hoover, and Timothy Hoover; and his beloved grandchildren, Michael Snyder, Camille Conner, Elizabeth Conner, David Locke, Tedra Locke, Avery Strickland, Alyssa Simpson, Keegan Longacre, Kaiser Strickland, Kaialynn Smith, and Dakota English.

Michael will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his kind heart, his love for family and friends, and the joy and laughter he brought everywhere he went. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
