☀️ Stay Safe in the Sun This Summer! ☀️

As we enter the month of July, we wanted to remind you about the importance of sun safety!

Long summer days are perfect for enjoying the outdoors, but protecting your skin is just as important as having fun.

🧴 Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours (or after swimming or sweating).
🧢 Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and lightweight clothing that covers your skin.
🌳 Seek shade whenever possible, especially between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM when the sun's rays are strongest.
💧 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
👶 Remember that babies and young children need extra protection from the sun.

Don't forget to check your skin regularly for any new or changing moles or spots. Early detection can make a big difference.

Enjoy the sunshine safely and make sun protection part of your daily routine!

You can have prediabetes for years without symptoms. This means you likely won't know you have prediabetes until serious health problems show up. Talk to your Provider about getting your blood sugar tested if you have any risk factors, including:

Being overweight
45 years or older
Having a parent, brother, or sister with type 2 diabetes
Not being physically active more than twice a week
Ever being diagnosed with gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy)
Giving birth to a baby who weighed more than 9 pounds
