PTSD isn’t only something veterans experience. It can follow any traumatic event: an accident, a loss, abuse, a medical crisis, or even something you witnessed.

PTSD also doesn’t always look the way people expect. It can be hypervigilance. Or nightmares. Or feeling disconnected from your own life. Or avoiding things that used to feel normal.

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not broken. You’re carrying something heavy, and there is effective treatment.

Arise Psychiatry offers EMDR therapy, one of the most evidence-based approaches to trauma treatment available. We’re here when you’re ready.

The end of the school year is exciting, but it can also be exhausting and overwhelming.

Finals pressure. Social stress. The weight of what comes next. Young people often don't have the words for what they're carrying.

If something feels off - a change in sleep, mood, or interest in things they used to love - trust that instinct. Asking for help on behalf of your child is one of the most protective things you can do.

If you've struggled with depression and tried two or more antidepressants without finding real relief, you may be a candidate for Spravato.

And that history doesn't have to be recent. Maybe your P*P put you on something years ago. Maybe you tried Lexapro in your twenties. Maybe a previous dose just wasn't right for you. It all counts.

"Failed" medication doesn't mean you failed. It means you haven't found the right treatment yet, and Spravato might be it.

Reach out to learn more. We're happy to talk through whether it's a fit for you.

You tried the medication. Maybe more than one. And you still don't feel like yourself.

That experience is more common than most people know, and it doesn't mean treatment can't work for you. It means it's time to look at what else is available.

Our latest blog walks through what treatment-resistant depression actually is, why some people don't respond to standard antidepressants, and what your next options look like.

If you've been stuck in that cycle, this one's worth a read. https://loom.ly/JNMynfA

For many people, starting an antidepressant is the first step toward feeling better. But what happens when that step doesn’t lead where you hoped? If you’ve tried multiple medications without relief, you’re not alone. This is often referred to as treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and it’s...

June is Men’s Mental Health Month! Men are far less likely to seek mental health support, not because they need it less, but because they’ve often been told that needing help means something is wrong with them.
Spoiler: it doesn’t.

Anxiety, depression, burnout, anger that doesn’t make sense - these things aren’t weaknesses. They’re signals worth paying attention to.

Arise Psychiatry is a judgment-free space for men ready to stop pushing through and start feeling better. 💙

Before June begins, take a quiet moment for yourself. No pressure to have answers. Just notice.

You made it through another month. That's not small. 💙

What makes Spravato different? A few things.

First, how it's delivered. It's a nasal spray, not a pill, which means it works faster and gets to work sooner.

Second, what it targets. Traditional antidepressants go after serotonin and epinephrine. Spravato targets NMDA receptors, and it's the first of its kind to bind to those receptors this effectively. Nothing else works quite like it.

If you've tried antidepressants and are still waiting to feel better, this might be the conversation worth having.
