Looking for a therapist to work on you while pregnant? Here are some green and red flags when it comes to finding a therapist who is knowledgeable about working on pregnant women.
✅ the therapist should have additional training outside of massage school that focuses on the needs of pregnant women
✅ proper positioning is a MUST. Side lying (safe for all) and Face down (safe for many) on appropriate equipment only. One size fits all/non adjustable pregnancy cutout pillows and belly cut out tables are not safe and could damage the uterine ligaments. When face up, you should be at an incline from 18-20 weeks on to protect the vagus nerve
✅ the therapist should be comfortable using a variety of pressure and techniques. They should know where to back off on pressure and to communicate well with you throughout stretching but are comfortable working out aches and pains with more than just light pressure
✅ the therapist is comfortable working on ankles and feet, understanding that foot massage will not send you into labor
✅ the therapist is knowledgeable of and use to working on the body as it changes due to pregnancy hormones. They regularly work on sciatic nerve pain, hip and low back, calf pain from cramping, carpal tunnel, and sore feet (among others)

Just a little scheduling update!

Mondays and Tuesdays: my trade friends, Tuesday morning gals and postpartum mamas you’ll still be able to book. I’m keeping these days at my discretion because this is also when I have to schedule my own massages etc.
Wednesday-Friday I will still be working 9-5, staying late every other Friday for the few of you already booking in that time slot. These are the only days and times that will be available for self booking
Saturdays- I will still be working one or two Saturdays a month with no capacity for anyone who isn’t already on my Saturday books
Sundays- I’m always off 🤍

I’m still taking the same amount of clients but needing some consistency. It is important to me that I am available to my family weeknights and weekends. I also have plans to grow my business in some new ways in the next few months and implementing these changes now makes it possible to do that. Thank your for understanding!

Puppy therapy available 🤍🐾 if you haven’t already, meet Bud. Bud is a 7 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He LOVES people and he loves coming to work. He’s been coming for at least one massage a day since he was 10 weeks old and we’re finally building up to having him here for a full work day 🤍 here’s what that looks like for you as a client:
-Bud is NOT hypoallergenic (no dogs really are) so if you have a dog allergy(or fear!), there is now a space on the waiver you can check and I will know to leave Bud home for your session.
-If your allergies are so bad that being in my room that he is regularly laying around in is too much for you, I take no offense and can gladly refer you to another therapist whose space won’t trigger those allergies for you!
-he will snuggle your clothes while you get a massage. Feel free to place them in the wire basket if you don’t want to leave with Bud fur on your clothes
-because of the nature of this environment and my job, it’s pretty important to me that Bud have good manners. Thanks for the continued patience as I work on training him not to jump up to greet you or lick the oil off of you after your massage. For the most part he is very well-mannered and is his best self in the studio

With the rising costs of gas and everything else, there will be a slight increase in pricing beginning May 1st. I am moving towards one hourly rate for all services. I will be updating the rest of my menu as well as fine tuning the 45 minute massage minis to keep budget friendly options available. It is also in my plan to introduce monthly memberships for my regularly scheduling clients to lock you in at the current pricing. More info to come later. Thank you all, so much!

Prenatal Clients:
-If you are wanting to start scheduling your sessions beginning April or May, message me ASAP! My online booking is only open 4 weeks at a time, and right now I am consistently 3-4 weeks booked out. If you plan to incorporate massage into your prenatal care, it’s best to start getting you on the books now before those spaces fill up!
-I will only be taking advanced bookings for pregnant clients at this time, as I begin to hone in on my niche it would be best for all regular clients to continue to book or waitlist through the booking site 😄
