What can you expect at your PrEP visit?

Starting PrEP is a simple step toward taking control of your health. At your first appointment, our team will take the time to understand your health, your goals, and your questions in a confidential, judgment-free environment.

Your visit may include:
✅ HIV testing
✅ STI testing
✅ Lab work to check your overall health
✅ Discussing which PrEP option is right for you
✅ Support with medication access and cost questions

At Five Horizons, we believe everyone should have access to the tools they need to protect their health. PrEP medication is available at no cost to you — whether you have insurance or not.

Remember: PrEP helps prevent HIV, but it does not protect against other STIs. Routine testing, condoms, and conversations with your healthcare provider are still important parts of your sexual health.

On Wednesday, July 29th, our Director of Mississippi Advocacy & Community Relations, Christopher Thompson, visited Tupelo to meet with local organizations about our upcoming clinic in the area.

During his visit, he met with Suzy Bowman, Director of Regional Impact at the CREATE Foundation. We are grateful for the CREATE Foundation’s support and guidance as we prepare to open our doors and expand access to high-quality healthcare services in Northeast Mississippi.

A special shout-out to our CEO, Billy Kirkpatrick, Facilities Coordinator Carl Brooks, and the entire FHHS team for their continued work and dedication to making this new clinic a reality. We look forward to serving the Tupelo community soon!

To our Selma neighbors: If you previously received HIV services through Selma AIR, we want you to know that our top priority is continuity of care.

Five Horizons Health Services has begun providing Ryan White Part B and HIV Prevention services in Selma. We are working closely with partners to make this transition as smooth as possible, and clients will receive additional information in the coming weeks.
