At Compass Behavioral Health, we do one thing, and we do it with excellence — we treat depression and anxiety in teens. We're California's first DBT-Linehan Board–certified program, a past Duke University research site, and a training partner to UCI and Columbia.

We're hiring a Nurse Manager (RN preferred; LVN considered) to lead nursing at The Farmhouse, our adolescent DBT residential program in Tustin.
You'll lead and develop a nursing and residential team, own quality and regulatory excellence (Joint Commission, CARF, CCLD), and grow your own DBT expertise alongside a nationally recognized faculty.

What we offer:
• Total target cash $128K–$141K (RN), with performance pay scored and paid every payroll
• Sunday–Thursday schedule — Friday & Saturday off

Believing they deserve it. Prescribing self-compassion directly often produces: "I can't do this — which proves how broken I am."

The clinical art is to start where the patient can meet you; at neutrality, at curiosity, at the question itself.

The farmhouse has some new residents! 🦆

Eight brand new hatchlings and one very proud mama duck have officially moved in. This afternoon during DBT group, all the kids stopped to watch the ducklings swimming laps in the pool and waddling around the farmhouse grounds.

I asked one of our kiddos, “What DBT skill do you think the ducklings are practicing?”

Without missing a beat she said:
“Oh, for sure distress tolerance skills.”

I laughed and asked, “Which one?”

Again, immediately:
“Radical acceptance. I’ve been working on that one a lot lately.”

Honestly… I think she nailed it.

If this mama duck wants to raise her babies surrounded by curious teens, staff members oohing and aweing, and a whole residential treatment team watching over them from afar, she’s clearly practicing radical acceptance at an advanced level. 💛

Sometimes DBT lessons show up in the most unexpected places.
