Y’all have absolutely blown me away.🥹

This last week has been one of the craziest, most emotional, physically exhausting weeks I’ve had in a long time. And somehow, in the middle of all of it, I’ve had people texting me, calling me, checking on me, encouraging me, validating me, hyping me up, making me laugh, making me cry, and reminding me that I am so much more than just the person you come see to get your nails done.

The words of affirmation, the “you’ve got this,” the “I’m proud of you,” the “this isn’t the end,” the people reminding me to look for the silver lining when I was having a hard time finding the damn sun at all…

I needed that.

So to every single person who has supported me morally, spiritually, emotionally, financially, physically, or even just by sending a message to check in:

Thank you.

I wish I could tag every one of you, but we’d be here until next Tuesday. 😂

And then there are Mia, Aryn, and Tonya.

They packed. They moved. They organized. They supervised. They made sure I didn’t do anything too stupid while attempting to paint an entire space at almost seven months pregnant. 😂

Could my husband have done it? Sure.

But this was something I needed to do myself. I needed to close this chapter with my own two hands. I needed to stand in that space one last time and know that I didn’t just walk away when things got hard. I finished the damn thing.

Two years of my blood, sweat, tears, creativity, money, time, energy, mistakes, victories, friendships, heartbreak, growth, and absolute insanity…in the color Bone White.

Which feels pretty fu***ng appropriate. 😂 Because this space is empty now. But I’m not. ✨
I’m taking the lessons, people who mattered, and the parts of myself that grew here.

This next week, I’ll be transitioning into my new space, and I’ll bring you guys along as it comes together.

I’m starting differently, not over.

And maybe that’s the silver lining I was supposed to find all along. Sometimes you have to have the s**t kicked out from underneath you before you realize how much you were carrying that you didn’t need anymore.

So cheers to the lessons I learned the hard way, doors closing, and boundaries getting stronger.
Because I’ve always said the best revenge is rebuilding yourself so well that eventually you stop caring who knocked you down in the first place.

So here I am.

Dusting myself off.

Taking a deep breath.

New space.

Same me.

Just a little wiser.

Aaaaaand hopefully surrounded by significantly less “Bone White”. 😂🖤

Whether it’s here or there- we’re doing cute s**t.

Getting things closed up and settled this weekend.

I anticipate to be in my smaller space by this upcoming weekend.

Keeping it basic and simple and just as weird. ✨💅🏻

The amount of support I’ve received from you all has been staggering. The messages, phone calls, kind words, and genuine concern have been seriously heartwarming. 🥹

The news hasn’t changed my feelings about closing the shop and eventually reopening in Oregon, but it has made me realize that I don’t want to give up on you guys completely just yet.

I said I would still be available for private parties and certain appointments, and I’m currently working on securing a much smaller, private space that will be just for me and my nail services. No more products. No more other people. Just nails, my regulars, and the little corner of the world we’ve created together.

I’ll be available to my regulars, existing clients, and clients by referral or direct message only. My hours will stay the same, and yes, the vibes will absolutely still be there. ✨

This will be temporary as we prepare for our big move next year, but honestly, I’m pretty grateful I get to have a little more time with you all before we go.

My clients have become some of the absolute highlights of my week. Whether we’re talking about ridiculous work drama, exciting life changes, family chaos, big dreams, or literally just the mundane nonsense of being a human being, I genuinely enjoy your company.

So thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. Thank you for reminding me that what I built here mattered. And thank you for inspiring me to keep going in whatever way makes sense for this next chapter.🥰

I may not have someone taking over when I leave anymore. I may not have a shop full of cool retail products for you to browse, sniff, touch, and inevitably convince yourself you need. 😂

But I do have this winter and spring with you guys.

And we are absolutely going to make the most of it. 🖤✨💅🏻

Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be making one of these posts again.

But here we are. And this will be the last one.

When I opened my shop a couple of years ago, I knew absolutely nothing about owning a business. I didn’t know who was safe to bring into my space, who I should have kept at arm’s length, or how much weight contracts, verbal agreements, and professional relationships apparently don’t carry with some people.

I learned.

I adapted.

I worked my ass off.

I’ve met more unsavory characters in this area than I ever expected to, despite being licensed in four states and having spent years building a legitimate business. Maybe I trusted the wrong people. Maybe I attract people with questionable intentions. I don’t know. What I do know is that when your business depends on other people honoring their word, their choices can have consequences far beyond themselves.

And unfortunately, I’m the one left holding the bag.

I had everything lined up for next year. I had someone prepared to take over my clientele when I leave. Potentially even the space. And while I’ve already lost roughly half of my clientele to people moving out of the area, I still have a small group of you who continue to show up for me. You mattered. Making sure you were taken care of mattered.

I had even planned on taking roughly a WEEK for maternity leave because I didn’t want to lose anyone. I was fully prepared to get right back into my chair.

Then I was given a little over a week’s notice that the people I opened my space to, trusted, and made plans with have made other arrangements and will be leaving before next month.

That changes everything.

Between raising four kids, two starting school, a slower month than usual, the financial mess left behind by my car accident, and the normal costs of keeping a business alive, I simply cannot pull another $800 out of thin air with a week’s notice.

Had I been given time to prepare, I could have fought to save it.

I don’t have that time.

So I’m done.

And before anyone gets confused, this isn’t me throwing a tantrum because business is hard. Business is hard. I knew that when I started.

This is about repeatedly putting faith in people who have no problem leaving you to deal with the consequences of their decisions.

Contracts. Agreements. Handshakes. Conversations. Plans.

They should mean something.

Apparently, around here, they don’t always.

So, Magic Valley, do better.

Screwing people over whether you know them personally or not isn’t cute. It isn’t “just business.” There are actual people on the other side of those decisions, and sometimes they are already carrying more than you know.

I’ve spent the last two years trying to build something here. I’ve tried to give back. I’ve tried new ideas, new people, new partnerships, new ways of doing things. I’ve grown as a business owner and as a person. I’ve tried very hard to make community work.

But I’m done showing up for people who don’t show up for me.

I’m done playing the middle-school games.

I’m done pretending behavior is acceptable just because everyone is afraid to say something about it.

I’m pulling the rose-colored glasses off.

And honestly? What I’ve seen here has been disappointing, immature, dishonest, and exhausting.

To the people who have supported me, respected me, kept their word, brought their business to me, brought me snacks, trusted me with your nails, listened to me rant, laughed with me, cried with me, and made my little corner of the world worth fighting for:

This does not apply to you.

You are the reason this hurts.

I will still be available for private parties and potentially some home services for my remaining clients and anyone interested. I’ll also be having a 70% off retail sale through September 1st.

Yes, I have to repaint.

Yes, I have to move everything AGAIN.

But this time, I’m taking it all home.

I have absolutely no interest in renting another little space from someone and paying half of what I currently pay just to feel like I’m building something that can be pulled out from underneath me.

This was supposed to be my place.

A place where I could work, create, build, and feel comfortable and safe.

That feeling has been destroyed.

And maybe that’s the message I needed.

If this isn’t the universe telling me it’s time to go, I genuinely don’t know what is.

So I’m listening.

I’m washing my hands of this.

I’m choosing my family, my peace, my future, and the things that actually matter.

To those who continue to enable this kind of behavior from the people around you: stop.

Encourage your friends and family to do better. To communicate. To take accountability. To honor their word. To understand that their decisions have consequences.

Because this small business is now officially OUT OF ORDER due to ignorance, dishonesty, and a complete lack of accountability.

And somehow, I’m the one footing the bill.

So, Twin Falls…

See ya later.

We’re headed toward something much greater, much healthier, and much more meaningful next year.

And this time, I’m not looking back. ✌🏻
