🤫🤗 looking for an easy way to support AAC in the preschool setting?

I have you covered!

This is my favorite resource I’ve created! It supports implementation of AAC today! You just need a printer 🖨️

But actually! I have leveled core boards that could become your implementation starting point!

I took the most popular activites in a play based school setting and presented modeling opportunities centered around communication functions!

There is enough content to do one communication function a month throughout the year!

Have kids at different levels, don’t worry! I leveled the activity cards to support all kids and your staff will know exactly what to model! (Psst visual supports for the win)

If you have questions… here are some answers!

I plan to incorporate some of the AAC basics into my posts to help boost awareness of one of my favorite tools!

That is exactly what AAC is a tool to support communication! The level of use varies by individuals ❤️

One misconception I see a lot is that AAC just refers to high tech devices… it actually is a whole spectrum of tools that can be used!

We will dive more into each area over the next few weeks!

🌟 Reflection time!

I’ve been thinking a lot about what content I want to put out. I love supporting and navigating AAC with others.

After some thought and consideration, I felt like this statement perfect captures my mission here.

It’s 3 part because I hate the idea of picking just one component to address.

✨Awareness
✨Acceptance
✨Capacity

So that everyone can communicate, participate, and connect!

Moving forward all content will go through this mission statement before I share it! This page is for therapists, parents, educators, and anyone interested in learning more about AAC!

It’s Back!!!! 🎙️

The podcast is back and I’m so excited!

I took a break and came back with a new plan and focus that is sustainable!

💭 sometimes we get stuck in analysis paralysis

Here is the thing we can continue to make decisions as our kids grow.

The one decision does not have to be the one thing that lasts a lifetime.

We can pick an AAC device, a grid size, a core word approach, and change them all when we need to.

Our focus needs to be on educated decisions. Not just picking what we saw on Instagram but selecting what we think will be best based on evidence

We evolve, we grow and so do our kids! Focus on always learning more ❤️
