The studio is closed today as we celebrate a very special FIRST birthday! 🎈

One year ago tomorrow I was casually flipping pancakes in my kitchen before getting ready for work when my water broke and this little guy decided he was ready to make his grand entrance two weeks early.

And somehow an entire year has flown by faster than I can comprehend 🥺

I’ll be spending the day celebrating my little guy who clearly has been running on his own schedule since day one. I’ll be back to business as usual next week! 🩵

I’ve been holding onto a little secret the past couple of months and am SO excited I can finally share! The results for Best in Town came in and Stork & Co was voted RUNNER UP for Pregnancy Services / 3D Ultrasound!!

I genuinely still cannot believe I was even on this list to begin with. I’ve only been open for two years, I’m a one woman show, and I was placed in the same category as huge OB/GYN offices that have been serving East Texas for decades. I was just excited and honored to be nominated at all. I truly never expected to actually place.

And somehow I came in SECOND! Unreal 😭😭😭

So to everyone who nominated me and then actually took the time to vote for me over and over again…THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart!

I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built over the last two years but knowing that other people value this little business enough to nominate it, vote for it, and put it on a list alongside names like these means more to me than I can really put into words.

I’m so grateful to be here doing what I love. Grateful for every single one of you who continues to support me. Grateful for how far this little business has come. Just abundantly grateful. 🤍

Let’s talk hydration! 💧

These two images are a great example of why I’m constantly telling moms to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

See the difference in the black space around baby in the 2D images? That’s fluid and ultrasound LOVES fluid. Being well hydrated helps support healthy amniotic fluid levels and gives us better fluid pockets around baby which can make a HUGE difference in what we’re able to see as shown in these images. This is important for all ultrasounds not just 3D/4D.

‼️BUT‼️there’s a catch most people don’t realize - you HAVE to start a few days before your appointment. Panic chugging a Stanley full of water the morning of your appointment will only earn you a very full bladder and 47 trips to the bathroom. It takes consistent hydration over several days to actually give your body time to benefit from it.

A full bladder and a well hydrated body are not the same thing so start 3-5 days ahead and focus on staying consistently hydrated throughout the entire day.

We already have to negotiate with a tiny person who does not care about our plans. Please don’t make me negotiate with the laws of physics too. 😅

The studio will be closed for the remainder of this week as our family takes time to honor and celebrate the life of my wonderful father in law.

I will partially reopen on Monday though there may still be a delay in returning calls, texts, emails, and messages during this time. I truly appreciate your patience and will get back to everyone as soon as I’m able. 🤍
