It’s always so wonderful to see our care partners take time out of their busy day to join in our residents’ activities! A special thank you to Bre for sitting down and playing a few games of dominoes with our residents.

It may seem like a small gesture, but these moments mean so much! They bring smiles, create memories, strengthen friendships and help meaningful relationships between our residents and care partners. Sometimes, the simplest moments are the ones that make the biggest difference.

Thank you, Bre, for giving our residents your time, sharing a few laughs, and helping make Brookdale Tyler East feel even more like home.

On Friday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Texas Freshwater Fish Hatchery in Athens, Texas. Although it was a cool, windy morning, we stayed cozy indoors while learning about the many fish that call Texas lakes and rivers home. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore, discover something new, and enjoy quality time together.

After our visit, we stopped for delicious hamburgers before heading back to our Brookdale Tyler East community.

What a wonderful way to spend a Friday! We learned something new, enjoyed a delicious meal, and returned home with smiles on our faces.

Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying the musical talents of Logan and Hayden. Hayden delighted everyone with her beautiful violin playing while Logan played the piano. They played familiar songs that brought smiles to our residents' faces and gave everyone a chance to join in a sing-along and share in the joy of music together.

There is something truly special about music. It brings people together, stirs up treasured memories, and fills a room with happiness. We are so grateful to Logan and Hayden for taking the time to share their amazing gifts and talents with our residents. Your music made our day a little brighter and our hearts a little fuller.

We are already looking forward to your return in December when you come back to share the beautiful sounds of Christmas music with us. We cannot wait to sing-along to some of our favorite Christmas songs together.

Thank you again, Logan and Hayden for sharing your time your talents, and your hearts with our residents. You are a wonderful part of our Brookdale Tyler East family. We are so thankful for you both!

The autumn spirit came alive at Brookdale Tyler East as our Fall Festival brought together residents, families, children and friends for an unforgettable evening of connection and celebration.

The air was filled with cheerful music, lively conversations and plenty of laughter as everyone enjoyed festive games, seasonal activities, and time together. Smiles stretched across every generation, from children discovering new ways to play to residents sharing stories, encouragement and joyful moments with their loved ones.

These shared experiences create lasting memories and remind us that the best celebrations are the ones enjoyed together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our Fall Festival such a beautiful success! We are grateful for the families, friends, team members and residents who filled the evening with joy. Our residents enjoyed a wonderful time with Mr. Bobby Primm! It’s always such a blessing to have him visit our Brookdale Tyler East community. His music brings smiles to our residents’ faces, warms their hearts, and takes them back to the days of old, bringing back so many special memories.

There is something truly beautiful about music that touches the heart and reminds us of treasured moments from years gone by. We are so grateful for the joy, laughter, and memories Mr. Bobby shares with our residents each time he visits.

Thank you, Mr. Bobby, for being such a special part of our Brookdale family! You are always welcome in our home, and we look forward to making many more wonderful memories with you.

This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our amazing dietary team here at Brookdale Tyler East! We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Delores, Miranda, and Leslie for all the love, care, and hard work you put into serving our residents delicious meals each and every day.

You do so much more than prepare and serve food. You help make mealtimes special, bring comfort through familiar favorites, and add a little extra joy to our residents' days. Your dedication and the love you put into what you do never go unnoticed.

We are so grateful to have each of you as part of our Brookdale Tyler East family! Thank you for all you do to keep our residents happy, nourished, and cared for. You are truly appreciated this week and every week!

Looking back on Owen's life story of music, service, travel, courage, and love, his journey carried him across America and overseas to unfamiliar places and countless experiences. Between junior high and high school, he got involved in music and wanted to make it his career and travel with a big band. Owen traveled around the United States and parts of Europe.

After a year of traveling around Texas, Florida, and the Midwest, Owen decided that he wanted to go to college. He started at Manhattan State University and studied broadcasting, and then he went to Colorado and reported the news on TV and did some radio broadcasting as well. But later on went to graduate from Kansas State University with his broadcasting degree.

Owen provided for his family, and while his love for music continued, he played for a company and signed a contract that had him play overseas in Europe. Once his contract was over, he went back to be with his family and spend time with his daughter; they enjoyed camping beneath the open sky, hiking and backpacking.

Owen’s life reminds us to meet the world with curiosity, cherish the people beside us, and welcome adventure wherever life leads us.

We are so happy to celebrate Rick as our Employee of the Month! Rick is such a kind, caring, and patient person. He is always willing to help whenever someone needs him.

He works hard to make sure things are taken care of for our residents and our community, and he truly goes above and beyond. Rick never hesitates to lend a helping hand, and his patience and willingness to help mean so much to all of us.

We are so grateful to have you here at Brookdale Tyler East, Rick. Thank you again for all you do. We appreciate you more than you know!
