Have you seen or met Hailey yet? We affectionately call her our “Wig Whisperer” because of her incredible passion and natural talent for helping women find the perfect wig.

Hailey recently completed her certification in Jon Renau’s Masterclass: Toppers + Wigs, which is an intensive, two-day hands-on training focused on personalized consultations, wig selection, fitting, and customization.

Her dedication to continuing her education reflects what we are all about at A Woman’s Touch: providing compassionate, personalized care that helps women look and feel their best.

Because finding the right wig is about so much more than hair, and every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in her own skin. 💜

✨TIPS TUESDAY: What is “garment fatigue”?

Think about your favorite pair of blue jeans. 👖

When you first put them on after washing, they’re snug. They hold their shape and fit just right.👌🏼

But after wearing them for a while… they start to relax. By the end of the day, they may feel looser in the waist, knees or seat.

🧦 Compression garments can experience something similar — called garment or textile fatigue 😴

With regular wear, washing and drying, and putting the garment on and taking it off, the elastic fibers gradually lose some of their ability to rebound and sn**ch back into shape.

Signs your compression garment may be getting tired:
• It’s noticeably easier to put on
• It feels looser than it used to
• It starts slipping, rolling or bunching
• Your swelling isn’t as well controlled
• The fabric looks stretched or worn

Even a garment that still looks good may no longer be providing the same therapeutic compression it did when it was new. With compression, the “snugness” isn’t just about fit, it’s part of the treatment.

That’s why compression garments need to be replaced regularly — commonly around every 3–6 months with regular daytime use, depending on the garment, frequency of wear and manufacturer recommendations.

👖 Your jeans can get away with being a little stretched out ➡️ Your medical compression shouldn’t.

And without further ado… the reason we traveled across the world. 🌎⁣

We came to Germany to attend CCC: Comprehending Comprehensive Compression: an international conference dedicated to all things compression and the care of patients living with lymphatic and venous conditions.⁣
⁣
The event, organized by Medi and the Venous-Lymphatics World International Network (v-WIN), brings together clinicians and experts from around the world to collaborate, exchange experiences, and continue advancing compression care.⁣
⁣
We are incredibly proud that Tyler was 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟱 guests from the United States invited to attend, joining clinicians from across the globe to learn from one another and share their experiences caring for patients who rely on compression therapy.⁣
⁣
For us, this trip is about so much more than traveling across the world. It’s about learning from the source, bringing new knowledge home, and continuing to raise the standard of care for the patients and communities we serve.⁣
⁣
Because when you have the opportunity to sit at the table with people from around the world who share the same passion and purpose, you take it. 💜🦋⁣

This trip may have taken us across the ocean, but the purpose behind it is the same one that drives us every day: to keep learning, keep growing, and continue bringing the 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 in compression and lymphatic care back to our community.⁣
⁣
Today we were honored to visit the Medi Corporate headquarters in Bayreuth, Germany. We saw how the custom compression garments are made, we talked about products, and we learned so much…. Stay tuned- there’s still more to come! 🦋💜

Take a look at this picture. Do you see the differences in color, shape, SIZE. ⁣

Both of these compression garments are meant for the same leg of the same person, based on their measurements of their lower leg but they are NOT equal in size, shape or quality. ⁣
⁣
The longer, sand colored garment on the left was custom made by our supplier specifically for our patient from the measurements our clinician took.

The smaller brown garment on the right, is one that is “ready to wear” and off the shelf. This is the size she needed based off a few measurements and recommended size guide provided by the manufacture.
