📣 Myth VS. Fact 📣
At the end of pregnancy, things can become a little… damp. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if it’s just watery discharge, if your water broke, or if you just p*ed a little (or a lot).
This graphic is a good starting point to help when you’re playing the “what’s that liquid” game. One thing I would add/change though is that p*e doesn’t always smell strong or ammonia like, especially if you’re well hydrated.
🦄 Myth: “If your water breaks, you’ll always have a huge gush of fluid.”
✅ Fact: Sometimes it’s a dramatic gush, but many people experience a slow trickle, intermittent leaking, or repeated small gushes. It will also continue to leak until you’ve given birth. So staying hydrated is important to keeping it replenished!
What pregnancy or birth myth have you heard that you’d like clarified?
