🎉Exciting News! 🎉
We are now offering hearing screens for newborn in our office using Natus DPOAE Accuscreen! You and your family can come sit in the comfort of a midwifery clinic and have your little one assessed by our team. Quick, gentle and can be done during a little nap - we are excited to fill this growing need for East Texas home birth families. This is included in our clients care package.
Cost is $55 for non-clients.

Now that y’all know East Texas Birth Co is becoming Heirloom Midwifery, let’s talk about what this transition looks like!

✨ Current clients: If you are currently in care with East Texas Birth Co, you will remain an ETBC client through the completion of your care. Nothing about your current care plan is changing.

✨ Our new office: Our lease begins November 1st, and we’re hoping to begin seeing families in our new Tyler office sometime in November. We’ll keep everyone updated as we get settled!

✨ Social media: You’re already in the right place! We’ll be keeping our current social media accounts and transition them from East Texas Birth Co to Heirloom Midwifery. So if things start looking a little different around here, don’t worry, you haven’t wandered onto the wrong page. 😉

✨ New inquiries: We are currently welcoming inquiries for upcoming due dates, with May 2027 and beyond joining us under Heirloom.

We have a new name, a new location, and a new structure but the same midwives you know and love under it all!

One of my favorite parts of this work is watching fathers step into their role during labor and birth. The support, encouragement, and love they provide can make all the difference when we hear “I can’t do this anymore!”

Birth may center around the mother and baby, but don’t underestimate the importance of your role and presence! Thank y’all for showing up, taking the birth classes, reading the books, and understanding that being the best dad starts in pregnancy!

So, to all the dads doing endless hip squeezes, refilling water bottles, timing contractions, readying birth pools, holding hands, holding puke bags, attempting to put hair up, and catching the first round of mec, we see and appreciate you!

Happy Father’s Day 💙

And special shout out to my hunky husband who was always A1 birth support, who holds the fort down while I’m catching babies, and who is such a champion of home birthing. Thankful for all you do for these weirdos we created 🤟🏻💜.
