These caregivers took advantage of an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge, enabling them to make greater contributions to our residents. Shuckin' Corn at CCT!

Great childhood memories were shared all day today as residents shucked corn and then enjoyed a hot ear or two, on or off the cob, with butter, salt, and pepper. Many of our residents lived on farms or had gardens where sweet corn was grown. They talked about picking it, shucking it, and the big family corn boils where everyone got together. One resident stated "it's not good if your lips aren't buttery and if you aren't having to pick silk out of your teeth afterwards"!
