Union Medical Center With roots dating back to 1921 as Wallace Thomson Hospital, Union Medical Center has been a trusted part of the Union County community for over a century.

Project SEARCH is a business-led internship program that helps young adults with disabilities gain the skills needed for competitive employment.

These interns will work under a supervisor in a variety of disciplines including environmental services, patient access, business administration and food services.

The 2026 Work‑Based Learning Summer Internship offers 8 weeks of hands‑on experience, exploring career interests and working alongside mentors across clinical and non‑clinical areas through a collaborative program with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Movement 2030 and OneSpartanburg, Inc.

✨ Who’s eligible?
High school juniors and seniors (ages 16+) enrolled in Spartanburg, Union or Cherokee County schools and available for 20 hours/week.

📅 Key Dates:
