I started doing genealogy research in 2012, and it has since become my passion. I charge by the hour or offer package deals that include my services and other special offers. This page accompanies my blog, which documents my personal journey through genealogy. I will share photos, documents, history, stories, tips, deals, and even try to connect with long-lost relatives. If you have questions, ple

ase don't hesitate to ask. Most of my expertise is in Missouri, but I have also researched outside the state and even in Germany. I also have a YouTube Channel where I share stories, tips, craft ideas, and much more. Come on, let's see what kind of skeletons we can find hiding in our closets.

I was recently asked what is the most interesting story or fact I found in my tree so I thought I would share the story again. I was actually interviewed on the Extreme Genes radio show about this.

Going through family photos with my mini me.

I went over to my friend's house and her daughter loves history. They have boxes of photos and research dating back to the pilgrims. She's been dying to go through everything. One more box gone through 😁

How far back can you really trace your family?

A family tree isn't just a list of names...it's a chain of evidence. Each generation should be supported by records such as birth, marriage, death, land, probate, tax, church, or court records.

Many online trees jump from a documented ancestor in the 1700s to a noble family in the 1200s without evidence linking the generations in between.

The key question isn't how far back your tree goes. It's how far back you can prove it goes.

Last weekend was the St. Louis History Showcase at Jefferson Barracks Park. I got to talk with many organizations, Historical societies and other people about history and Genealogy. A great time!

What's the oldest building you have touched?

This is the Missouri History Museum aka the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Forest Park. At the turn of the century, planning for the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition—better known as the 1904 World’s Fair—coincided with a renewed push for the Missouri History Museum and MHS Collections to gain a more permanent home. Proceeds from the Fair led to the creation of the Jefferson Memorial Building, which would include space for the Missouri History Museum. An estimated 230,000 people attended opening festivities when the building was dedicated on April 30, 1913.
