Al Roker is celebrating another big step for his son Nick, who is autistic, after dropping him back at Landmark College in Vermont for the new school year.
Nick earned his associate degree there in May 2025, but decided to keep going and work toward his bachelor’s degree. And he’s been doing well academically too, Landmark College lists Nicholas Roker on its Dean’s List for both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
Sharing photos from the latest dorm move in, Al wrote that he was going to miss his son and added: “So very proud of him.” Nick’s mom, Deborah Roberts, also shared the milestone, saying this was the first back-to-college move she had missed but that she was proud of Al and Nick for getting everything set up.
For a family that has spoken openly over the years about Nick’s autism and his journey toward greater independence, it’s another moment worth celebrating, not simply going to college, but continuing to build on what he has already achieved. ❤️
