🍂 Fall Festival Sponsors Needed! 🍂

https://givebutter.com/2026BDFETfallfestival

Our Fall Festival is coming up October 18, and we’re so excited! This is an important fundraiser for our program, and we would love your help making it a huge success.

We are looking for businesses, families, and individuals to sponsor festival activities such as the hayride, sensory area, animal petting area, and more. Sponsorships start at just $50, so there are opportunities for everyone to participate!

We’re asking each of our families to think about businesses you frequent, employers, friends, family members, or community contacts who might be willing to sponsor. Even sharing our sponsorship information with a few people could make a BIG difference!

⭐ To be included on our Fall Festival T-shirt, sponsorships must be received by October 1.

We’ll send the sponsorship link right after this text. Please help us spread the word—we would love to see our families really rally behind this fundraiser! ❤️🐴🍁

🐴 Why use the horse in speech-language therapy?

It may look like a child is simply playing a game from the horse, but there is a LOT of language work happening!

Activities like this can target semantic relationships—helping children understand how people, actions, objects, and ideas connect—as well as joint attention, or the ability to share attention and an experience with another person.

We’re also building social communication, turn-taking, vocabulary, and increasingly complex language.

The rhythmic, dynamic movement of the horse provides rich sensory input while the child participates in a naturally motivating, interactive experience. Instead of practicing language only while sitting at a table, children can experience the meaning of words while hearing, seeing, and using them in real time.

The horse isn’t the speech therapist—it’s part of the treatment environment. 🐴💛 The SLP intentionally uses movement, play, sensory input, and interaction to support each child’s individual communication goals.

Sometimes the best language learning happens when therapy feels a whole lot like play. ❤️

Splish splash, it’s pool day at the farm! 🦆💦

The ducks have officially claimed the pool, and judging by the enthusiasm, they have absolutely no intention of sharing. 😂

Just another perfectly normal day at Butterfly Dreams Farm. 💜🦋
